The guys who use "real dolls" - how messed up are they?
haven't studied it (although i should because it's pretty interesting), but in my opinion it's not 'messed up' to use a sex doll - that is, to have sex with one. just an expensive masturbatory aid really. what is disturbing is treating one like a real person and viewing it like a relationship. i think that is more than just loneliness, probably something not quite right in the head :/

-High testosterone levels give them a very deep biological derive to find a partner.
-Finding a partner for a not very attractive man can be next to impossible where as a women of comparable attraction can still get someone for the short term at the very least.
-Women often have other sources of physical intimacy (hugs, carassing, holding hands etc) which men usually don't.
That can make you do things you wouldn't normally expect of "normal" people.
i agree with your first and third points. however, while most everyone is at least somewhat concerned with physical attractiveness, women are more likely than men to overlook features in a potential partner that aren't 'perfect,' provided the guy can take care of her and her offspring. but then of course, there are no offspring to be had with a sex doll, lol. maybe that's another thing that makes them attractive to some men.
shareFor long term relationships I would agree but for the short term it is definitely much easier for women. And while it may not be ideal short term flings sure as hell do help curb loneliness for a while.
