this movie was GREAT.
It was original, and well made.
so you didnt understand it or like it, ohh LA DI DAA!! that doesnt make it a bad movie. that just means you have no taste.
the movie was a great mix of comedy and horror, and the same time very relatable and made very clear a very important message about society and how messed up it has become.
HELL-O! HENCE THE TITLE "LOVE OBJECT" objectifying men,woman whatever, it makes the point very clear about how love isnt enough anymore, we are fed this crap about perfection. men downloading porn over the net, woman/men buying tools to fill out thier sexual desires fantasies because they dont feel satisified with what they have, main problem being the advancement of technology, internet. "ways to improve your life" hey! who needs a partner,now that you can buy what you "really" want from them..all this superficial crap that people actually think its real. one of the important things that i picked up from "love object" is that it is true, how we try to shape someone to our liking, and thats the problem with "sex dolls/objects" they arnt real. and soon enough you start believing they are, and thee next "real" person in your life has to beat that high and mighty statue that has been given to the "object".
most people think that the charature of kenneth' played by (desmond harrington) was not believable because he is good looking, what kind of crap is that. yes kenneth/desmond is good looking, very infact. but open up your blind eye's like looks matter, its called "image dismorphic" just because you think they are attractive doesnt mean they think they are or see what you see, they are alot of things that add to it.
anyway the movie was great, the characture's....
excellent, if you look at contemporary society and all, it is very believable. so basically if you are in DENIAL and i dont mean a river in EGYPT then sure you think its crap, you also think pigs fly out of your ass.
compared to the crap thats concidered "horror" the movie was the best. i mean c'mon. it was a great indie flick and DESMOND HARRINGTON SHOULD HAVE GOT AN OSCAR FOR HIS ACTING OR ATLEAST HAVE BEEN NOMINATED. THAT WAS SHEER BRILLIANT.
so go play with your leg hair and get a clue before you diss this movie.
lets see if you can direct/act/ or do a better job.
