April 27th release on DVD

"FANGORIA has just learned that Stuart Gordon's brutal crime drama KING OF THE ANTS, starring Chris McKenna, George Wendt, Kari Wuhrer, Daniel Baldwin and Vernon Wells, will be released on U.S. video by Blockbuster's DEJ label, with a tentative street date of April 27, 2004.

The movie, which landed an R rating without cuts, will be issued on VHS and DVD, the latter including a widescreen transfer, director/actor commentary and a featurette. No official theatrical release is planned, but ANTS may turn up in a few more festivals prior to its home debut."
