Um, how did Karie Wuhrer die?
She barely smacks the back of her head and it causes enough trauma to die instantly?

VERY silly especially after the guy lives after repeatedly being whacked in the head with a golf CLUB. Oh, but he had the styrofoam wrapped around his head y'see. Anyways what's with the wife taking the guy home from a SHELTER in the first place to stay with her and her daughter?! Yeah I totally bought that.
I can't speak for everyone but if there's some guy sleeping next to his bike on the curb across the street from my house, I think I would take notice.
I tried giving this movie a chance, but after the wife dies from bumping her head on SHEETROCK, I lost all hope.
I loved this movie. I think Kari Wuhrer is awesome.
I will admit, however, that this scene was a bit weak. The idea that he accidentally kills her is a great part of the plot. But it seemed like such a small bump into the wall.
Obviously they're not going to risk harming any of the actors, and it wasn't a big special effects movie, but they could have done this in a more convincing manner. He could have pushed her and she could have hit her heat on something as she fell. They could have made a bigger sound effect. They could have shot that they way they shot him being hit with the bat.
But maybe it was deliberate and they wanted to emphasise how easy it could be to get a serious injury. It was in contrast to the fact that he had been hit so many times and survived.
We would have to ask the director, I guess, and also read the book to see what happened in that.
Well, the question is, did she really die?
