I like wilco a lot, in fact i just saw them about a week ago, i also like My Morning Jacket (who opened for wilco awhile back), Band of Horses, Adam Green, Autumn Defense (a band of 2 wilco members), Loose Fur (two wilco member band as well), big star, the jayhawks, Andrew Bird, Kings of Leon, a lot of stuff. Thats just stuff i like a lot, so i cant say for sure if you will but its worth a check

shareYeah, some good recommendations here. I'll go with Andrew Bird, the Shins, MMJ, M.Ward, Super Furry Animals, The New Pornographers, Destroyer, Jim Guthrie, Dungen, the Futureheads.....I'm all over the place and I could go on and on. I guess my point is that if you're a fan of Wilco then you are a fan of being open to anything. No two Wilco albums are the same, so looking for a similar artist is pointless. If you're open to new an interesting music, than all of my recommendations could work. Enjoy.

Im not sure that Son Volt playing Uncle Tupelo songs count as covers seeing as Jay Farrar wrote at least 70% of Tupelo's songs. Tweedy didnt really get his due until Anodyne which was their final album.
