The Aussies are too lucky. Anybody know when 'Loyalty' and 'Duty' are airing Stateside?
shareNo but I wish they would hurry up! I heard once a long time ago that it was going ot be on April 12. Well April 12 has come and gone and I saw neither hide nor hair of Horatio! I am hoping (hoping with all my might) that A&E had such a good reaction from the Brits they decided to save it for May sweeps. But if its not there I might write a very nasty letter to the A&E company.
shareI've been lurking over at the Hornblower boards at the A&E website, and it seems that there are a lot of die-hard fans over there who are just as mystified as we are. There are rumors of November, which just seems outrageous to me!
sharei worked on the stupid thing and i was told april as well. but that doesn't seem to be the case... the director of photography (my boss) told me the reaction in the UK was not so hot, moderate at best, so i don't know about sweeps. but i think the following is larger in the US ... the brits are tired of ioan. he's been in a ton of stuff over there...

Was it a stupid thing because it wasn't any good, or is that just an expression of general frustration with the lack of proper release date? What did you do on the film?
i say stupid as a mark of my frustration, which is not really very severe... i had the best time of my life working on the film, and a lot of laughs. great people, shitty weather, but the pubs keep you warm... i worked in the camera department, a rowdy but wonderful bunch of guys...

We Yanks adore the Hornblower series. The entire cast is marvelous and I cannot wait until Loyalty and Duty hit the US. What in the world is A&E waiting for? Off to ask them right now.
