I respect Andrew's work - but I hate his characters!

His characters are all annoying as hell. Every film he makes has the most uptight, tense, boring and humourless characters I've seen. Its like he only has one voice as a writer!

I don't want to get down on Andrew's work as I do respect him as a writer/director; but I wish he'd expand on his filmic ideas that have already been established in the first two movies.

I've not seen Beeswax yet, but it looks like more of the same going off the trailer.

Totally true. I feel the same way. Don't see beeswax, It's exactly like real life... boring. His characters progress in real time. It would take years of film to see them become interesting.
