as someone who dispises anything corny/cheesey, let's just say this movie was a terrible adaptation of the book. however, i get it...maybe
what i couldn't stand, though, were the costumes. they were hideous, skanky. and completely irrelevent to the story.
i just can't get over how ghastly they were. does anyone else notice this?

I agree. I have never quite seen anything as horrible as these costumes. And the untasteful mix of different periods? What's wrong with this costume designer???
shareoh yes. the different period as well. not to mention every character in this ficticious world new about the grimm brothers, despite the movie taking place in a middle ages setting.

I completely agree. The costumes were awful, they made me cringe throughout the whole movie.

I'm just really surprised so many posters seem too be taking this film so seriously.
It's only loosely based on the book and clearly very influenced by films such as Shrek, which whilst an animated feature, has had an obvious resounding impact on this film, even in the costuming department.🐭
Very disappointing! It was such a wasted opportunity. There was so much potential to design some really great costumes, but meh.
They would have been better off hring a bunch of stuff from Angel’s and Cosprops.
