Pizza Sauce on Dad (Deleted scene)

After hearing about the so-called Pizzagate controversy coming out of various news outlets, it got me thinking...

Before Coraline receives her gloves and gets tucked in, there is some awkward giggling with the screenshot of the house. Their intention is to make your mind wonder if Coraline and Dad are fooling around.

Henry Selick's interview seemed a bit odd regarding this deleted scene. He was definitely trying to obscure the true meaning of Pizza sauce.

I do understand what you mean here. The movie has a dominant "stranger danger" theme going on and the Beldam kinda alludes to the typical pedophile luring children with candies and sweets. Just think about it. Gives me the creeps.
