Does Jackie Chan GET IT ON in this movie???

I'm writing a paper on how Hollywood emasculates Asian actors by NEVER putting them in a physically intimate/romantic setting with females of other races (Caucasian, African-American, etc).

I haven't seen this movie, so can somebody tell if Jackie Chan has a romantic relationship with anybody? And if so, are there physical interactions between them (kissing, etc).

Thanks a lot.

reply

No, Jackie Chan nevers gets it on with anyone in this movie, as well as all his other movies. If you read his Biography here at IMDB, he said that he will never play a deep relation/sex scene in any of his movies.

The guy that started this thread needs some treatment... He's asking the same sick, handjobbish question in "The Tuxedo"'s forum... and who knows in what other Jackie Chan's movies!!!

reply

Ehm... just to enlighten you: when someone does a paper like this, it is not a good idea for him/her to have knowledge about just one movie. Consequently asking the question on many boards is only logical (it's not the smartest approach, but one that will definitely work).
Now as to who needs treatment: only in your own mind this is a sick, handjobbish question, so...

Jane March and an Asian guy got it on and on and on in "The Lover." Didn't Jackie Chan and a white prostitute have a go at it in the sequel to the Owen Wilson/Jackie Chan western (the one where they went to London)? But you're right, for some reason Asian men aren't typically depicted as real studly...and you never see them in porn, for some reason...

reply

Ah ha! Good topic for a paper. I totally agree with you. America doesn't want to see the strange, slant-eyed people from the East mixing with the west.

you know how it is, chinese girls go for white guys, white girls NEVER go for chinese guys.

Such is the plight of the Asian male in White America.

It aint extacly sex, but in Rush Hour 2, he kissed a woman at the end, and Jackie seems to be "in love" but not "in love"...

it's a plight as long as people perpetuate the perception, including indignant moanings like this. academic papers, fine as they are, don't instigate social change. ACTION does.

just reject, and live in your fashion, damn the consequences.
Not sure what you mean, exactly. Are you saying that the emasculation of the Asian Male in movies is only perception and does not really exist? Or are you saying the fact that White chicks not dating Asian dudes is only perception? Or both?

Or are you saying that the plight does exist, but people should ignore it or, at least, not draw attention to it? I'm leaning away from this interpretation since the last part of your post seems to call for action.

And yet, I am further confused. Something as small as an academic paper (or maybe you meant this thread) will "perpetuate the perception," yet you call for action. But wouldn't the action also perpetuate the perception? Unless you're talking about some kind of silent and stoic action like all of the Asians pool their resources and flood Hollywood with Asian produced movies where the Asian male is more than the kung fu sidekick.

Since that action is unlikely, Asians will have to resort to protesting or boycotting Hollywood films already out there. This action is, let's face it, just a larger and more public version of the academic paper.

Now, if the action you suggested is in regards to the previous poster talking about how the White chicks won't date Asian dudes, well, I don't what kind of action you're talking about. The only way the Asian dude is gonna score the White chick is when his Comp Sci degree pays off, years later, after he builds and patents the next Super Toaster and Espresso Machine. Once he's loaded and the White chick needs someone to settle her financial worries, then she'll go shopping in China Town.

After all, those Asians are so polite and they're good at math, too.

That's not true. I have the hots for Chinese guys, and I know a few girls who date them.

I find Asian men extremely attractive... Rick Yun and Jet Li more than Jackie Chan, but that's just my personal taste.

Your paper topic is very intersting. I wonder, though, if it isn't more that Jackie Chan is cast in a-sexual roles. Off-hand, I remember that Jet Li gets involved with a black woman in "Romeo Must Die," but I don't remember how graphically sexual their relationship is (I think all they do is fight and dance together).

I am married now. But in my younger days, I thought Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and George Takei were hot. I cannot tell you how depressing that it was to find out George prefered men. In fact, Sulu swashbuckling is still a favorite eye candy for plenty of gals

Grow up. What's so good about America?

I assume that you are white, and it's pretty *beep* obvious that that guy was joking. You grow up and stop taping your eyes shut to make you look more asian.

Jackie Chan is depicted in a sexual relationship with a white woman in The Big Brawl. It might be illuminating to research, if you haven't already, the noticible lack of asian males in mainstream pornography. Good luck on your paper; it sounds like a good topic.

No, Jackie does not 'get it on' in this film.

However if you want to see Chan kiss a caucasian female just watch The Medallion. The film is complete tripe, but Chan is romantically linked with Claire Forlani in that film.

why are you asking this when the movie is pg and its from disney the only movie they did with sex was bad santa i think

reply

Actually Disney has begun dabbling in movies with some sex scenes. They did make "Pretty Woman" which had strong sexual content.

reply

And Pulp Fiction was made by Disney (Miramax) and that featured male-on-male anal rape! Wholesome entertainment from the Mouse House

reply

Jackie Chan also has sex in Shanghai Noon, his new wife seemed like she was a white woman raised by indians.

umm romeo must die , Jet Li and Aaliyah they dont get physical tho

OMG! Jackie does not have any sort of romantic relationship at ALL! LOL FUNNY!

reply

not a romantic relationship no, but his character's been in love a number of times...and i'd like to respond to the poster who was writing his paper that i thought his movie The Tuxedo--an otherwise craptacular movie--was kind of written around an underlying idea somewhat relevent to your topic....the tuxedo--the movie not the suit--was built around the fact that his character didn't have enouh confidence to ask out the woman he found really attractive, and had to go through all that tuxedo stuff before he felt comfortable enough with himself to go for it...and fail miserably.(that's the part i think i actually liked about the movie..the fact that he doesnt just come in at the end of the movie and sweep the woman off her feet...in fact he pretty much scares her, but as he's walking out of the museum--he's not dejected he just learns how to shrug it off.) at he beg of the movie he can't even bring himself to talk to her practicing in a store window...and then at the end of the movie he gets the fbi or whatever that agency was to help him try and ask her out...and he ends up ignoring their advice and winging it on his own...and blowing it in much the same way he feard he would before...but its not as big a deal to him then because he found his confidence to go out and do things on his own...and if the woman don't go for him...big deal.

a big budget hollywood movie centered around the idea that an asian man's lack of self-confidence. c'mon that's gotta be worth something...certainly a different side to asian men here in hollywood then the usually confident heroics of Jet Li or Chow Yun Fat or even Jackie "everyman" Chan in his other films.

He also nearly gets it on with this white woman in a hotel room...she's begging him for it..and he just wants to get the info out of her that he has to (he's posing as a secret agent) and get out of there. As he's running out of the hotel room..she's calling after him...Yoo Hoo Emperor? come back emperor!!!!

the tuxedo! can't believe there is some use for that movie after all.
