Math remark

Just saying:

99,(9) = 100

So they shouldn't be infected :)
Proof taken from the internet:

x = 0.999...
10x = 9.999...
10x - x = 9.999... - 0.999
10x - x = 9
9x = 9
x = 9/9
x = 1
1 = 0.999...

It ruined the movie a little for me.
