watched this last night and could someone clear my understanding of it.
aliens had a pathogen in there system, someone mentioned robotics so they wouldnt infect earth i think, guys open pod infect the humans ermm then aliens save the infected humans... so what was the premise

shareThe aliens were friendly. They meant well, but when first trying to communicate with other worlds, they didn't realize they were carriers for a fatal plague. They accidentally wiped out all life on Mars, and unfortunately a small pod had crashed on Earth. The code was a warning never to open the pod. The aliens show up at the end, and I assume have either developed a cure or simply just take with them whatever is causing the outbreak.
