What is the Original Aspect Ratio?

I'm considering buying the series off of itunes, but if the original aspect ratio isn't 4:3 I'll just keep waiting.

reply

When has Sci Fi ever shown a series that wasn't in the original ratio?

reply

Well, it shows fullscreen repeats of Stargate SG-1 when the original ratio was widescreen.

Anyway, Tremors on iTunes is fullscreen. You can actually preview the videos there, too.

reply

I believe it was 1:33:1 (fullscreen) but the original prints might be 16:9 - I don't know if it well ever be released in that format though.

Last Movie I Watched:
American Psycho (2000) - 7.5/10

Unfortunately, iTunes and NBC are fueding over the prices; since SciFi is owned by the same company, all SciFi shows have been taken down, too. I was thinking about buying them, too, when I next get a gift card.

I've been watching the show on Hulu.com, which shows it in its original aspect ratio which they display it in 16:9, so the show is definitely in widescreen. Hope that helps.

Wait so, this WAS shot in 16:9? On the Stampede FAQ it says it was shot in 4:3. But in Hulu the episodes are in widescreen. Are they stretched? God this is confusing as hell.

They were filmed and edited in 16:9 then cropped to 4:3: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327375/board/thread/218489318

The Stampede FAQ guide must have been told wrong....
