effects

anybody notice the fact that you can tell the graboid and the ground movement is cheezy.

Well, it has taken over 3 years to get a reply, but here it is!

I HATE that they move the camera around when a graboid begins to wreak havoc. I know why they do it, though. The show had a VERY small budget so they could not afford to actually have the buildings shake. So they use the cheap trick of making the camera move around to create a sense that the area being filmed is shaking as if an earthquake is underway. Another thing I found annoying was how they fast forwarded the vehicles driving to make it appear as though they were going faster than they actually were. Overall, the special effects were just plain lousy. But it is SyFy, so it is to be expected.
