Will Tremors V acknowledge the events from this?

Or will they just ignore it and continue from Part III onwards.

I hope that they do keep the events of the show intact.

My understanding is that the new film is set in South Africa. Given the change in location, and the fact that 12-13 years have passed (in real time, I assume in Tremors time as well), the events of the series will be completely irrelevant to the story.

Exactly, but it'd be nice if there was a throwaway line of dialogue that tied up the plot lines of the series (Mixmaster, Tyler, El Blanco). That just seems logical: after all, it's quite explicitly stated that Mixmaster was free in the valley and likely to cause problems for quite some time. That seems like quite an active threat to me. However, the fact that the creators are uninvolved and the film being set in South Africa leads me to believe that the film will have zero interest in continuity (and likely the next film set in Perfection will just ignore the series, assuming they ever return there at all).

I would continue this battle of wits with you but I can see that you're unarmed.

Tremors 5 introduces a new strain of creature. This is somewhat strange, given that Tremors 3 completed the life cycle (Ass-Blasters carry Graboid eggs). However, they could explain the new creature in T5 by adding MixMaster into the mix (pun intended). That would actually be pretty awesome. But I'm afraid that won't be the case, the plot will already be crowded if Graboids, Shriekers, Ass-Blasters AND the new creature(s) are going to be featured.
