Cult-like Response - beware!!!!

This board has been sabotaged by impossibly laudatory reviews. Anyone with 1/2 a brain should be very skeptical of what they read here. What could generate such a fanatical response to a film, I wonder?

Right wing dementia, of course!.

I haven't seen it, so I don't know if it's good, bad or indiferent, but it should be remembered that the responses are strictly regional as it is playing in only a very restricted market. Still and all, seeing so many glowing reviews does seem to defy the odds. In a sample that size you ought to find someone who is against God, America and motherhood more often than you find someone who even mildly dislikes this film among these posts.

I saw it and I can tell you, It Sucks!

Boy, you don't have too much pent up hatred and racism inside you, do you? Better go home and beat your wife to work off a little of that so you can cope in the day-to-day world, but make sure to slam down a little red wine and gabbagoo beforehand.

...And, yet another idiot that makes an IMDB account simply to post some kind of crap for everyone to read, before running and hiding back under the rock he crawled out from under, too stupid to remember where he posted.

I just saw this film ("Uncle Nino") and found it very engaging from the first scene in Italy right through to the "fini" at the end. This is a very emotional movie, one that has a lot to offer many different age and ethnic groups. There has not been such a movie in many years. A very rough comparison of the emotional content may be that found in "Miracle on 34th Street." With this simple comparison, I must say that Joe Mantegna plays a great John Payne. This is a true family film, and is well-produced. All told, it is hard to imagine "Uncle Nino" not drawing a very positive response from viewers.
