It had one of the biggest ever budget of that time for a Korean film and yet it flopped so big that it instantly killed the director's career.

Rumor has it that the director is still paying the debt he got from this.
Director Sun-Woo Jang made softcore porn films before this and would have thought that he'd be stepping into the big league by making a blockbuster.
I feel kind of bad for him.
