Were they from actual footage or was it shot just got the movie?

The reason is that Part of it I recognized from Mystery Science Theater 3000; they made fun of the "kitchen of the future" scenes with the woman with short dark hair and also later the part where they are driving in the car.
It was one of their "shorts" from the later seasons with Mike. Very funny!
I caught that one too! I thought it was pretty funny, I love the MST3K shorts.
