Paul Rudnick had been a successful writer of campy gay plays.

This movie is a mess however and just plain stupid.

I especially hated the gay couple - who were just out of place. Stepford the town is supposed to be a completely white heterosexual community, with the white males in complete charge. That's why there are no minorities or other equal opportunity types living there. So why throw in a gay couple.

UGH! (And I'm GAY!!!)
