Arithmentic Mean 5.1 -Median=3 - IMDB stars = 2
why is the arithmetic mean and the median/average different and the score another. Can someone explain that to me? I say this because there was a realated incident with House of Adam IMDB site.
share1.9 stars is IMDB's weighted score. A person's vote has more weight if they usually rate shows in the middle numbers range than a person who usually score things in the extremes of the scale. Also, I think, if someone tends to rate everything high, their scores are lowered or less weighted than others, and people who review more movies have a stronger weight than people who vote for less movies.
