Not that bad

Besides the obvious budget problems in the making of this film, I found the film very inventive and original. Anyone else who agrees, I'd be interesting in hearing from you.

Ok. I dind't gave the film a 9, but rated it with a 4. This is for the story alone. The actors were not that good, but what really annoyed me was the sound and the camera. It looked like being taped right away. One good example is the barking dog during a scene on the dinner table. Might be a good idea to make it sound like real life, but the dog just didn't stop! Maybe for this time, a French remake maybe?

I agree. The production reminded me of The Decalogue. As did the undertone of the story. I s'pose it's easy to **** on this movie because it could've been told much better without words. And maybe as a play or musical, as it was paced so slowly and in a way in which the thoughts were spoken [instead of thought]. It didn't stand up as a legitimate film, but I'd have loved it as a student's telling of a story.

How it ended up being calculated as the worst film of the decade on Metacritic is a mystery to me and is likely too heavily based on the production.

Again, it should be a play. Then the story and the characters would carry their depth more appropriately. And the "inventive and original" aspects would be digestible--and maybe even appreciated.

Cheers :-)

I gave this film a 1 if only because I couldn't give it a 0. It is THE WORST movie ever made. Production values aside, it's still a piece of sh*t.

I'm gay and this movie still offended me.
