'They REALLY lived!'

This a wonderful film. There are many great scenes and lines of dialogue in it.
But, to me, the one line that makes this movie a classic is uttered by the older Walter at the end, when the Sheik's great grandson asks his father, "they really lived?", and Walter answers, "Yes...they REALLY lived"

Great line and perfect delivery.

That line is wonderful!! I love it. Its so simple yet I feel like its so powerful every time I see the movie, I can't really explain it, but I just love this movie none the less

I concur!! One of the best closing lines in movies!!

Agreed, that whole ending scene I love especially the look on Walter's face when the he's told the grandfather was "a very wealthy sheik." It's a look that says, "After being lied to for the first part of my life I finally chose something/someone to believe in...and I was right to." Had to be great closure for him.
Such a great movie.
