You really hit on it when you say they didn't try too hard. That's part of what I enjoy. I'm not really into "critter" things, but this movie won me over by being such a solid ensemble piece with spot on comedy, that wasn't afraid to confront some high drama as well. Fry and Lewis must be pleased to see this fresh dimension on their creation.
