This film belongs in the Top 250!
I seen mostly every animated movie there is because my girlfriend loves them. Some of them I like and some I don't. So I do look forward to ones I think look good.
This was one I wanted to see because the animation and cast looked great, so I was expecting it to be good. I seen "Over the Hedge" in a theater full of parents and there kids. It was a Saturday matinee and it was very crowded. If there were any seats left, they were few and far between. It was one of my best theater experiences ever. This is something most people wouldn't say in a theater full of screaming kids, but everyone there from the 3 year old kid's to the 40 something dads/moms were laughing their heads off, it was a really good atmosphere, everyone was into the story and the characters. The story never let out, it was entertaining the whole way through, and the jokes were constantly funny.
When the movie came out on DVD, I added it to my collection. I think the film is perfect for what it is trying to be. I have seen a lot of animated films in the IMDb Top 250 that are not as good as this, so with that said, and this being such a perfect film, I think it definitely belongs in the Top 250!
