When they first discover the hedge..did Ozzy mess up lines? He says "Steve, it ate Vern"

Just wondering having Steve Carell as the voice of Hammy.

Well, no, if you listen closely, or turn on your subs, you'll get "Steve ate Verne!"

I watch this move like 5 times a day with my 10 month old, he loves it.. Still seems like, Steve it ate Vern.

My girlfriend agrees with you...But i think differ

How is there any question on what he says here? It's William Shatner doing his typical pause talking "Steve. Ate. Vern!"

lol Yes I agree. When I watched it, that's what I figured he said.

Every time I watch this with my son, it still sounds like......Steve'd It Ate Verne or...Steve At Verne : (

remember hammy called the hedge 'steve', when they hear sounds from the other side he say's "steve is angry", then when Verne trips into the hedge Ozzie say's "Steve ate Verne"-they called the hedge Steve, it wasnt a mess up on william shatners part, and he didnt say "steve it ate verne"
