shortest movie ever, it ends to early 121 min??
needs to be longer
shareActually, there are shorter movies. I believe Disney's "Dumbo" is only like 68 minutes long or something... though it's been a while since I've seen it so I don't remember exactly.
Anyway, while I love this film and it's one of my favorite animated movies (my friends can vouch for me about how obsessed I was back then), the length of the movie is the one thing I do complain about. Every time I watch this films, it sometimes feels like it's over as soon as it started. It's not that I'm saying I wanted it over 2 hours long, but at least an hour and half would have been cool (since I believe the credits take up a good ten minutes or so...).
Oh, it's 1 hour and 23 minutes actually.... *tilts head in shame for knowing that off the bat*
Basil the Great Mouse Detective goes for 72 minutes. That is pretty short.
I feel that animated movies normally work best around 100 minutes and Over the Hedge is pretty short. It's well paced for the most part but some aspects like RJ's growing relationship with the group and rushed. It's done in like 5 minutes and then the whole thing with Verne happens. I guess there's not a lot more you could go with the story but an extra 10 minutes might have hoped with development and expanding on plot points. It doesn't really feel like there is a middle act, there is a first act and a last act. If you argued that there was a middle act though it would literally span 10 minutes.
shareI wish the film could have been a bit longer.
