Regarding the animals hibernating....

I did some research and it turns out that really out of all the animals in the movie, only skunks, bears and turtles hibernate. The rest (squirrels, porcupines, opossums) do not although they are all hibernating in the movie. I didn't count RJ since he already let on that he doesn't hibernate anyway which is true of raccoons. So I wonder why everyone else sleeps in the whole winter with Verne and Stella (the only 2 who naturally do this) when they could be all hanging out in the snow.

Oh well, I love this movie anyway, I was doing the research for a fanfic I'm writing and thought that was very interesting.

Good point. Never mind that the different species live together. Or talk to each other.

I believe this is called "suspension of disbelief". And it is usually a lot stronger of a concept in animated movies. For instance, all of the animals have opposable thumbs. Including toddler porcupines that learn to drive from playing a video game.

I'll stop now. :D
