People don't get indicted and convicted on a hunch or hearsay, they get convicted on evidence. What evidence was there to convict Jimmy? The only witnesses were his goons, and in all likelihood Dave's body was never even found. share
The OP may be referring to Jimmy pretty much admitting he killed Dave to Sean (the Cop) But Sean probably felt some loyalty to an old friend and felt bad that he suffered enough with his daughter getting murdered.
shareMakes me wonder what Sean's finger-gun pointing at Jimmy means. Even if he decides to pursue it, what does he have? He said/he said on something vague to begin with, "if only you'd found 'em a little sooner." OK, maybe not so vague, but completely uncorroborated. No body. No crime scene. A wife feeling guilty for being complicit, so she's gonna clam up.
