Really Glad I Caught This Film

There were only 5 other people in the theatre for the 7:35pm showing of I'm Not Scared. This was a great film start to finish. The children in this Movie were excellent in all their roles. Overall, for me it didn't have as "dark" a feel to it as I thought it might have, but that didn't take anything away from it. I have a feeling that this is one of those Foreign films that will make Ebert's top 10 list for 2004. (but it was released in 2003?) Anyhow, if this is playing at a theatre near you, you won't want to miss it.

I agree - great film.... I really love non main stream firms, they have a plot, they're original, they make you think....

Did anyone see The Coo Coo? it was around last semester, also one that I'm glad I caught!

Never heard of the Coo Coo. Is it about my neighbor?

I thought I'm Not Scared was wonderful.

Do you mean The Cuckoo? We have that one at my Blockbuster. I'll have to check it out.

Just checking: does this movie have subtitles? I'm relatively new the the foreign/indy film scene, so I'm not sure if that's a given for foreing films on America or not.

reply

Yes, it does have subtitles, but that doesn't take anything away from it. If you have the chance, you should see it for sure!

Cheers!

I agree. My friends and I decided to try something different this time so we went to see this at a small cinema in town. Going in I wasn't too sure about the whole thing, but I, like you, was really glad I caught it. Great, original story. Wonderful acting. Beatiful setting. Simply an amazing film.

The only part that I a problem with was when that really young girl was unbuttoning her pants at the beginning. That made me quite uncomfortable and I very nearly walked out because of it. Good thing I didn't though ;-)

Amazing film

It was just on on television in the UK (on Film4). I wanted something to fall asleep to. I didn't even have to try and stay awake. This movie is beautifully captivating
