comedy ? horror? thriller? ?

Although I quite enjoyed this movie it seems it could not make its mind up what it supposed to it found it tty more comedy it tty meen cmon how did the kid in the hole suddenly Michelle had broken him free of pad lock and chain we had seen earlier but they decided not to show this escape from the hole and the kidnapped kid looked as healthier than Michelle the kid had supposedly been down a hole for months ironic the makers of this movie choose a hole for the kid as the film was full of holes a unintentional comedy

Somehow you missed the details.

As Philip explained, his kidnappers had come to wash and release him from the chains. They were likely getting him ready for release since the expected to receive a ransom. Philip was too small and weak to get out of that deep hole. Michele did not interfere with the chains and padlock.

Philipe, was transferred by the kidnappers to that barn-like place after they discovered that Michele had been interacting with him; they didn't want him to help the boy escape.

However, when Michele found out were Philipe was relocated, he went there to free him...and was shot, but presumably he lived.

I thought the kidnapped child looked ill and weak: pasty white, skinny, and light-sensitve eyes due to the time underground. After the kidnappers washed him, he look better. Nevertheless, Michele was tan, athletic, and full of energy.
