Don't diss it too bad.

I'm 17 and I have a 20 year old sister, my parents thought it would be a good family day to go see the movie. I will say it's not the best movie, but it's cute. If you've ever lost a dog, then you can understand where the characters are coming from. If you want to see a bunch of cute talking dogs, this would be a good movie. I'm not going to advertise for this movie, but don't diss it, because there are some cute parts.

The level of postings on this board is pretty depressing. I was hoping to find out if my 7 year old would enjoy the film and if I could sit through it without dying of boredom or throwing up. The worst I've experienced so far was the Piglet Movie (solved the problem by falling asleep).

I'm not expecting it to be a great work of art, but suggesting I see Texas Chainsaw Massacre instead (already seen it, actually) will not be helpful!

So, is it cheerful stuff that passes the time, or appalling even for 7 year olds??? (She's not bothered by a bit of scary stuff, as a hardened Harry Potter fan. We both loved Nemo)

I don't feel lucky to be alive! I feel lucky I'm not dead. There's a difference.

I just have to say that my seventh grade class absolutely loved it when I showed it on movie day, and I enjoyed it as well. It isn't a spectacular film, but it's cute and entertaining.

I sat very happily through MONSTERS INC and JIMMY NEUTRON. Somehow I got roped into PIGLET MOVIE and that was slow deathless torture. GOOD BOY falls somewhere in between. It is not funny or amazing but its not totally dull either. My 5 year old daughter LOVES it. If your shild loves dogs (and is in the age range of like 4-7) then GOOD BOY is a good pick. We just got a chihuahua and my daughetr and the chihuahua watch the movie together...which gives ME free time to play on the computer so its a win-win situation!

i did not like this movie, it's crap. It does have it's moments but come on it's a tiny bit stupid

I wanna add that when GOOD BOY came out my husband took my daughter to the theatre to see it. When I saw GOOD BOY it was on dvd in the comfort of my own home. GOOD BOY is NOT a movie theatre movie. It is best viewed as a rental. Does that make sense? I mean...I wouldnt wanna shell out big money to see it. Its a time-waster that young kids will enjoy (not like SHREK 2 which was a very enjoyable movie experience and money well-spent).
