SPOILER: loved it, but having a hard time with a plot hole

dear imdb'ers,

first off, i 100% enjoyed this movie. i bought it without seeing it, and without a doubt i'm gonna keep it.

however, and its just a thought, but the guy behind the whole setup that planted cameras, im pretty sure he said that the cameras were motion activated and only worked when people were in the apartment(s) setting them off.

considering that bernal spent most every moment in his apartment when he wasnt with natalia, it just seems that the motion cameras in his place wouldve just went on and off every time he walked around. especially when he went to sleep. how long would the tape be to capture all of that plus the affair?

i think, though i may be wrong, that the tape wouldve run out long before the sexual act was caught on tape. i'm not big on pointing out flaws, but that just seems to stand out to me big time.

am i wrong?

I for one don't think you're wrong. I also thought there were many holes in the story. Some people bring up other blunders they notice which is very interesting and a reoccuring theme in many posts.

You can see what the holes I notice and as well as a few others who posted their thoughts on my post:

Remember how Barnaby was talking about how they would be able to sneak in and change the tapes around the "finance's" apartment? Same idea. Wasn't like there was a lot of security in that building any how.
