Has anyone seen it?

I see it's rated 8.4 but there are no reviews. Has anyone seen it?

You have got to be kidding me? Really? It seems like a good movie. How come you haven't seen it yet?

Jim,

Having been in two Christopher Guest movies, do you know anything about a new one in the works?

I apologize for being completely off-topic, but since you're here, I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

PS- Good luck with A Different Loyalty. Rupert Everett is getting good buzz for Stage Beauty (which may draw more attention to this film), unfortunately, Sharon Stone's recent work has been more than questionable (Catwoman?).

Well, it turned up on p2p sites just recently. It will be seen now!

Nice to see people IN the business actually take time to talk to the fans. :)

reply

happens more often than you know, people with film credits don't always point out what they've done when they post.

reply

No they don't, why should they? People wouldn't leave them alone ever again.

I'm sorry that it won't be theatrically released because the trailer looks good and I was looking forward to seeing Sharon Stone in a dramatic role for a change. You could always add some flesh-eating viruses or aliens that plan to conquer the world and it will have a wide release... :)

Well, I saw it - and it is one hell of a claustrophobic movie. - A lovestory that made me feel like I was suffocating.

I suppose that's what made it good, and I understand why it has trouble in distribution; this is no ordinary Hollywood flick at all.

A serious and good movie, in my opinion.

reply

It should get at least a limited release. Do you think Sharon or Rupert could have Oscar chances? The trailer makes it look like a serious movie and there seems to be a lot of dramatic scenes.

I watched it a few days ago on DVD.

The relationship between a spy and his wife, who doesn't know that he is a spy. It's about what happens to true love, when it comes to sacrifice.

I liked the look of the movie, but the rest doesn't work. The story isn't that interesting. Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett do their best. It's not an Oscar movie at all. It's kinda depressing to watch. The parts who play in Moscow are too long.

Where did you get a dvd copy of the film?

reply

@JoeMayo

I got it in Munich, Germany, where I live =)

reply

I see. Well, I'd better start packing.
