If the father wasn't that way, would Tony have done it?

What a wonderful/heartbreaking story. I usually dont like these type of movies but I decided to gie it a try and was pleasantly suprised. Geffory Rush and Judy Davis were fantastic. The boys were good(as well as hot!)also.

I wonder if the way that the father was, helped him achieve his goal, in a twisted way. Look at some others with parents who have pushed their children to greatness(Mike Jackson, Britney Spears,etc...)but are now screwed up.

Still a wonderful movie to watch with older children and family.

7 out of a 10.

interesting question....i think his father being the way he was pushed his son. If the father wasn't like that...and put the 2 brothers up against each other...then Tony wouldn't have had that incentive to push harder. His father really pushed him and Tony wanted to please his father more and more the father disliked him. So i think the outcome would have been much different if the father wasn't like the way he was.

His dad got him there despite his mean, not because of it.
