Anyone NOT like this movie?
Please do not kill me about what I'm about to post. But I'm just wondering did anyone not like this film? I didn't like it very much, I found it quite boring. Actaully everyone in my class found it boring.

My Dad said it looked and felt like his own childhood - minus the Olympics, of course.
Well, if it makes you feel better, everyone I know thinks Picnic At Hanging Rock is excellent, but I think I wasted two hours of my life. It's just people's opinions.

I watched this a while ago, and at the first viewing, turned it off after about 30 minutes - thought the acting was terrible and the script even worse. But a friend who'd watched it all the way through persuaded me to give it another try, which I did - and found it to be the best Aussie film I've ever seen. Geoffrey Rush is magnificent (as he tends to be), but principally, the two boys (Jesse Spencer and Tim Draxl) are just superb. Knowing that the story is true, exacerbated by the recent drama surrounding Di Fingleton, made it poignant and disturbingly true to life for all of us.
Loved this movie - a 10/10.

I found that watching movies at school can suck all the fun out of it, especially when you know you have to do stuff on it afterwards. We had to do stuff for Rabbit Proof Fence in Australian Studies last year and I wouldn't mind taking the class again if I could do something for Swimming Upstream.
