Crack Team?

What a joke this film is technically.

They find a building and huddle together in one location.
A perfect target to be taken out, all at once. You never hide in a building or structure the way they did.

And the Germans, well at the end of the movie, I guess the Germans didn't have any mortars, the Germans were well known for their expertise, accuracy, they could drop a mortar down a chimney pot! Why didn't they take out the barn with that flamethrower right away? And why didn't the Russian "Crack Team" break the ladder outside or lift it into the barn, just in case? Duh!

What a joke!

I also found it ridiculous.

Overall, I thought the movie was great. Alex Kravchenko is in it (idi i smotri)and all the equipment except those Tiger tanks is authentic. My criticism about a crack team is when Sparrow is allowed to go along. No experience whatsoever and you know he's going to have to knife somebody.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie but it insulted my intelligence and made the soldiers look stupid.

It was akin to watching one of the CSI shows as opposed to Forensic Files, make believe vs. reality.

Yeah, that final scene was a bit stupid. Sadly though, 99% of war/action movies have stuff like that or in most cases even worse. At least they didn't have endless waves of Germans charging them and getting shot down. Overall the movie was pretty decent.
