Anybody hear about the attempted Venezuelan coup?

There seems to be much speculation the the US government may have been behind it. It just goes to show that times never change. Kissinger may have been behind the 1973 coup in Chile, and now covert organizations in the Bush administration may have been behind the attempted Chavez coup. Does the US really fight for freedom, or for its own interests.

Every country is always for their own interests. If a country fought for freedom they would let the citizens choose what country they want.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.
