This movie is terrible - the sets were interesting, but it had little else going for it. The character development was lousy - the lead character uttered each line with pauses that became more and more painful with each line, but of course that's to tell us of his 'emotional damage'. The support characters were hardly developed also and each gave a wooden performance. It's not a surprise that it has taken so long for this film to be released in Canada. Don't waste your time.

I saw it when it played in NYC 2 years ago! I thought it was great.

I've seen "RE" more than a few times, and I say it's great! Unlike those "big message" movies that try to ram some "universal truth" (a total oxymoron, BTW), "RE" is what it is, and nothing more. And for what it is, In think it does it quite nicely.

Not every film need follow a three act structure, not every film needs to adhere to the tired formulae of Intro-Conflict-Resolution. And Thank God for that! I don't know about you guys, but in my experience, life don't work that way.

I think "RE" is a wonderful little film that offers new riches with each viewing...try to say that about "King Kong" or "V For Vendetta", and no, don't offer up examples of masterbatory CGI as "riches"...

YOU try making a film that looks as good for a million dollars.

They showed it at my school in 2004. I enjoyed the film and the acting was good. But the movie is a little to late , its too much like donnie darko.

Air your opinion but don't tell other people not to watch it because you didn't like it.
Michael Pitt is AMAZING in this film. He does pause a lot - he's supposed to be an idiot savant and I'm afraid they don't register as quick as us able-minded and he played the part BRILLIANTLY.

The film is funny, macabre, heart-warming and beautiful. The music suits each mood - something like "Old Hollyood" in sections. Gale Harrod is like a detective of the 40s. Paige Turco is so sweet to Chep but he misinterprets her gratitude for love.
The girl in the movie theatre - Ann, is wonderfully underplayed and the ending is perfect.

Michael Pitt makes this film - he was cast perfectly. He is beautiful and strange and is one hell of an actor!

This film should get 10/10 - it deserves it. I'm still smiling.

Aaron Woodley is a genius. This is a masterpiece.

This played at a madstone theatre in michigan years ago in 03 or 04...a theatre that doesn't even exist anymore. I can't believe it isn't on DVD yet!

Mysgostic? I don't know, but i'm about 90% sure it has something to do with dummies.
