Does anyone know if this movie is available on dvd (or even vhs)and if it is, where can I purchase it?

Well, yes it is :)

Rhinoceros Eyes will be released theatrically across Canada in the Fall of 2005, followed by the long awaited DVD & home video release in Winter 2006.

we just have to be patient......

wait... winter 2006? or winter 2005? 2006 seems way too long because it can out in 2003 and I really want to see it! lol I love Gale Harold

2006 i know it just sounds awful to wait 'til there but you americans will be lucky to have it. in france the movie hasn't been playing at all and is unlikely to be sold or anything else....:'( :'(

(August 21, 2005) Capri Films will be releasing Rhinoceros Eyes theatrically across Canada on February 24th, 2006, followed by the long awaited DVD release in June 2006.

The DVD release date is set for August 16th. You can pre-order a copy if you check the director's website www.aaronwoodley.com in the "NEWS" section.

I was on the pre-order list for this DVD and the distribution people told me that they could not ship to U.S.. Its all good, though. I was able to pre-order it through www.amazon.ca . It will be shipping on August 15, 2006. Whoo hoo! Get on board.

It came out in October and I have just seen it on DVD. I waited three years to see this film and they way the critics described it I thought I would be scared. It is a strange, warm and beautiful film. It is very very funny. I laughed so much at the beginning!
And Michael Pitt - I have one word for him - gifted.
It's amazing - 10/10!

It is a Canadian only DVD at this point, which is why you can only order it from Amazon.ca in the U.S. (and perhaps other Canadian online retailers who ship to the U.S.) It is also available in "big box" brick-and-mortar stores like Best Buy and Blockbuster in Canada.
