Has anyone noticed the similarities between Donnie Darko and Rhinoceros Eyes?
Strange boy, things talking to him that shouldn't be talking, committing crimes. In particular, the scene in the theater.
Thought I'd throw that out there for you guys, and see if anyone knows anything about it...

I haven't seen this movie, but I hope there aren't many real similarities. I really want to like this movie. I loathed DONNIE DARKO.

Look at the scene when Chep's boss and coworkers leave to visit the frat house. Right after they leave you'll see someone shooting at a rabbit.

it is similar but Donnie Darko left me depressed and I didn't see the big deal about it. I like quirky, wierd, strange but funny movies. Plus I'm a big fan of Michael Pitt and Gale Harold.
Also, the animated thing says to him something like "it seems as if the world is coming to an end". Basically what Frank says to Donnie.
Still...I loved this movie, the atmosphere is stunning.
I'd love to own the soundtrack.

I didn't even think of Donnie Darko when I watched it. It reminded me more of The Purple Rose of Cairo.
