The Title

why is this called "who killed bambi" ? because.... no one killed bambi... plus, if someone had killed bambi.... we would know exactly who it was...

Well, I believe this movie is much more complex than just a thriller. The idea, for me, is that she's losing her adolescence to become an adult. All the characters related to her adolescence die, cousin, all young girls (aka the chinese girl very close to her parent, the impatient one,etc...), which are all the steps you need to fight to become a true adult. The doctor is there to bring this back out of you. He is either full in white, or full in black, so you are at this age trying to work out the black from the white. Bambi is dead because she is a woman now, not a teen anymore.

I agree. I believed it to be about the loss of innocence. The title is a question of who killed bambi, because it's a question of whether Dr Phillip can be held fully accountable for her loss of innocence.

Actually I think this film is much more basic and elemental than most decent thrillers. The title simply tries to mislead you, but as with the plot, it fails miserably.

I love french cinema but Qui a tué Bambi? (Who killed Bambi?) is just a mediocre film that requires an immense ammount of suspension of disbelief (or an audience as naive as Bambi) in order to be fully enjoyed.

The acting is quite good, though.

Exactly!! Nobody killed Bambi...not even Walt Disney. It was BAMBI'S MOTHER WHO WAS KILLED IN THE FOREST.........NEVER BAMBI........and yet how many times do you see journalists, commentators etc, who should know better, making a reference such as "Well, he didn't kill Bambi"????!!!
