One thing I never understood.

In the game the Rito are the evolved race of zora, but would it matter to the zora if Hyrule was flooded? I mean they are a mostly aquatic race. Couldn't they just swim from Island to Island? They probably had armor to fight off anything in the ocean so why would they need to evolve into a bird like race?

As a parent I can say that that was worse a feeling that having a wolf trying to eat me.
