I think Uma Thurman would have been a good choice as Lara Croft, possibly even better than Angelina Jolie. She has the looks and action capabilities. Plus she could pull off the accent well.
shareUnfortunately, too many people disliked her as Emma Peel ( British accent, cat suit,etc.)in the equally disliked "Avengers". I enjoyed both but agree that the editing of the final film was a travesty.

Charlize theron would be better in my opinion she really adapts to each role she does. Jolie had the look down though the others would look nothing like lara croft.
shareHaving recently seen The Avengers movie, I can't get on board with young Uma as Lara. If they had cast her back in '97 when all the hype for a movie was at full speed, it would have been amazing.
