jpeg of the Face!
This is a great film, I doubt the remake will come close to it.
Here is the face people are talking about:

Many thanks.
Do I look like a people person?
I didn't see anything in the photos. What am I missing? :)
shareTop right quarter of the picture, the reflected face in the window? It's clear in the scene there is no-one there for that to be a reflection (or a person standing outside)... kind of like an Asian version of the Three Men and a Baby infamy ;)

That shot is definitely framed so we all notice the face in the window. I noticed it straight away and I can't imagine many people missed it.
Plus the face is covered in that white facepaint makeup that every other ghost in Japanese horror comes with as standard.
"We're making a film here, not a movie."
Chinese, not Japanese.
sharehehe i missed it though

Save the picture.
Bring up a photo editing program.
And highlight the pic. And you will see the face clearly.
I knew i saw a face then in the film, i watched it with my mate and he didnt see it, i thought it was pretty obvious.
shareThis is a film where you need to watch the background as much as the foreground. To me it was obvious, but your mate probably was just looking at the two main characters.
shareyeah to be honest , i just finished watching the movie a few minutes ago and i didn't notice the face until this thread, due to me focusing on the card that ying ying gave he instead of the background.
shareIt's very easy to miss unless you're paying attention to the background. I guess with me, I'm used to scanning the background constantly in Asian films because they often put strange things there. Of course, I probably miss details in the foreground because of it!
