Other movies like this?

I would like to watch more movies like this one. I've seen Memento, Identity... any recomendations please?

Yuck. Somewhere in Time cannot honestly be recommended along with those movies. It's a cheesy love-story, not a physcological film. The others mentioned are awesome though.

fight club
revolver
The machinist
butterfly effect
memento
the fountain

reply

Butterfly Effect DEFINITELY on the top of my list. As well as Identity.

reply

"Primer" is the absolute best time travel movie ever.

reply

Check out Jacob's Ladder. Quite disturbing, like Butterfly Effect with 'nam flashbacks for bad experiences.

Try "Donnie Darko". It's a LOT different though. It's...bizarre.

Stay, with Ryan Gosling is very similar... and I believe better.
Very cleverly made.

I was watching this movie and thinking about Stay from Marc Forster all the time...and although "the I inside" is a good movie, Stay is in the same line of logics but it's really a lot better..almost a master piece concerning the psychological triller.

For those who prefer the time travel theory I would recommend (as someone already said) Donnie Darko (lighter in theory) and Primer from Shane Carruth (for those who would like to go deeper in the concepts of parallel realities and time travel).

i second you man..

No way, Timecrimes - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0480669/
and Triangle - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1187064/
are better.

The Jacket
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366627/

reply

The Jacket is a good movie, well worth watching.

reply

Nah, I disagree. It's better than this movie (which was awful) but you're better off spending that time watching Memento again. Hell of a good movie.

I am vengeance. I am the night. I am... Batman.

reply

The Jacket is excellent and offers undeniable real world truths on MK ULTRA mind control.

reply

Stay and Dead End.

reply

the machinist, identity, butterfly effect nd jacobs ladder were all far better!
.....and both of these movies were way more intriguing and didnt need to be spelled out in the end...... i had to read for 20 mins in forums just to figure out hat i had just seen.

reply

I think that the most interests movies are Donnie Darko (my top 1), The Jacob´s Ladder (my top 3) and the extremely complex, but fantastic Primer. Check it out!!!

reply

the movie Primer sucked! I understood what was going on and I still didnt' like it. The movie was boring and pointless. I haven't seen the aforementioned films but I am interested in seeing them.

I liked this movie. It was very well done.. I'd have to agree with all the rest of the movies yall have suggested except the butterfly effect. It had a great premise but was done rather badly. it took the easy way out. The Butterfly effect had bad editing, bad script, and just was a bad movie. The I inside is better along with Donnie Darko.

reply

It's two different movies.

Dead End

Stay
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371257/

reply

Oh my...I feel so stupid right now... Thanks so much for your help, really, thank you!!!!

I think I would've liked this movie a tad better if i hadn't already seen so many movies with the "he's dead the whole time" twist. Most of the movies I'd recommend have already been listed. The movie Soul Survivors is an awful movie with almost exactly the same premise.

After watching this one, Jacob's Ladder and Donnie Darko came to mind (I haven't seen The Butterfly Effect). You could also try Frequency, although the premise is quite different.

Did someone delete a reply with info about some Korean movies? Please repost, please... cause i need those titles...thanks

I think Dead Again could be consider in this group and I like it very much.

I, Robot and Constantine are awesome. The movie, Abandon, had an interesting twist. Just Like Heaven is a romantic comedy with a twist. Fallen and Road to Perdition are excellent movies that have somewhat of a twist at the end. I also enjoy the movie Mindhunters, but I have heard other people say it sucked watch that one after doing a bit of research.

There is also a really cool mini series on DVD that was on Sci-fi called "Five Days to Midnight" that had a twist. Very good series. The show Tru Calling also had a twist, it was only on for 26 episodes, but it is on DVD and also had that twist. One of the best shows I have ever seen before it was unfortunately cancelled as was Dead Like Me, which is another great show that lasted two seasons on Showtime before it got the axe. Also you might be interested in this show called Daybreak that is coming out here pretty soon on ABC, from the previews it looks pretty neat with the again twist of this guy who can time travel. Taye Diggs is in it. Hope these suggestions help!!

I agree with Jacob's Ladder. I was feeling Deja Vu for a moment. I thought they story was very similar to Jacob's Ladder.
