Butterfly Effect, The (2004)

Similar story but much more detailed and also a much better ending.

Don't be afraid by the actor for the main character, Ashton Kutcher (comedy actor in 70's Show, Dude Where's My Car and Just Married), he plays the role very well and you won't recognise him as the comdey actor he usually plays. Very creepy, the Director's Cut has a _very_ disturbing ending.
