ALucard NOT Arucard (Americans have no excuse for this!)
I am TIRED of finding products on ebay and Amazon sold out of the USA and Canada pronouncing his name as Arucard. There is no excuse for that.
Just to point out what should be obvious the story of Hellsing is about a secret organization founded by Professor Van Helsing from the novel Dracula. He has captured and enslaved Count Dracula who now answers to Alucard (Dracula backward). ALucard. It's only pronounced as Arucard in the Japanese version because the L does not exist in the usual Japanese language and is hard for most native Japanese speakers. The character is named Alucard NOT Arucard. That was a Japanese mispronunciation on the attempted Alucard (Dracula backward). It's not even that hard of an anagram!
For Americans to pronounce it as Arucard feels like an insult to the Japanese. So those of you that do this. Please... Please stop...
