Hellsing The Dawn question

Okay, this is a question for the fans out there that have actually read the manga 'Hellsing The Dawn'

Me and my girlfriend have gotten into this huge debate about this manga. Having not actually read it yet we have only seen pictures and the information on wikipedia and other sites. I am trying to convince her that Alucard is in fact a guy in this manga and not a girl like wikipedia says.

Is my statement correct or am I actually wrong?

Cheers.

reply

Really, Alucard is neither guy nor girl.

As he says in later chapters: 'My form is meaningless'. Although technically, your Girlfriend is right - he takes the form of a little girl in the Dawn - although he is no more actually a girl than he is a guy in regular Hellsing.

He's kinda androgynous.

reply

androgyny seems to be a theme with Kouta Hirano

which makes me wonder if hey may in fact be bisexual or something

back in 98 I did a titty comedy for Skinemax. Sex Camp, ya remember it?

reply

You do know Alucard is actually Count Dracula right? It's where the name came from and those flashbacks of the freakin' novel in the OVA. Alucard is Dracula backward. Hellsing is named for Professor Van Jelsing. That's kind of the point.

This question hurts my brain. I know it's old but it hurts.

How can you AND your friend be so thick as to not notice the anagram. Write Alucard out on a piece of paper. Now hold it to a mirror and read it. It's Dracula. Dracula backward. Alucard is the alias of Dracula who now serves Hellsing after his defeat by Professor Van Helsing. Come on, the name alone should have told you that!
