i am surprised it didnt make into the bottom 250 of imdb.com

Yesterday i had the displeasure of watching this pathetic piece of whale crap. And definetely this is the last chris rock movie i have ever rented. He is totally NOTfunny. When i checked imdb.com today i was surprised that many people DO find it funny. God bless them. Not even a single scene from the entire movie brought even a smile on my face. The only thing that was ok about this movie was the speech at the end. Apart from that i would rate it the worst movie ever created in the history of film making. Period.
And no i dont want any flames from Yowzers out there who actually think how gr9 and funny this movie is. If you think that chris rock calling security every time his gf tries to impress him then i pity you. Next time I would prefer to watch sesame street rather than this terriblly horrific hideous piece of *beep* or any whcih has chris rock in it.

Instead of flaming it on the message boards, write a review for it. Some of us actually like the movie.

Sometimes you can't help a hater see the world past their hate. It's a great movie.

Same feeling. I feel sorry for that dude. Head of State isn't the best movie out there but it's a good movie and a very entertaining one too. Wish he will find his peace some where.

I'd say the film is for people around the age of 10, otherwise people with a rather low IQ. The film wouldn't be too unrealistic if it was political. The film could still be fairly amusing with some real politics in there. In the film, it was like politics was somehow irrelevant. Sadly, this film has very little real politics in there, choosing to focus on, quite frankly, rather poor and degrading humour. It's one of those films that I just can't bare to watch. It's not at all amusing in any shape or form. The plot is incredibly poor. The acting is poor. If you liked this film, you've got problems.

I mean, get a grip people. It is not like Rock was really running for president. Or did you guys not realize that? Did you really think he needed to interject politics into a COMEDY? Talk about having problems...if you expected any more out of this film than what you got, YOU are the one with the problems.

Absolutely agree with martialka.
Especially after watching 'Primary Colors', the speeches made in the same way by Chris Rock wasn't funny but disgusting. I have lost admiration for Rock after this pathetic piece of work. Nothing seems original and for sure, this hollow movie could never have inspired Americans to elect the first black president -Obama. Nothing original and very irritating.

It was far from perfect, but it gave me exactly what I expected. It's a black comedy made for the largest audience possible. Some jokes failed, some political observations were simplistic and cheap, the direction is poor and I could understand if there are some black people out there mildly offended by the stereotype image delivered about black people by a black person. Besides that, both Chris Rock and Bernie Mac and some of the supporting actors made me laugh sufficiently not to feel bored or irritated while watching it.

It's not a great comedy, it's a mediocre comedy, so I can totally see a rating between 4 and 6 being appropriate. To say it deserves on the bottom 250 tells me you probably haven't seen much or any movies actually on that list. There's still a large gap between mediocre and being considered to be among the worst ever of all those tens if not hundreds of thousands of movies ever produced.
