You can find it at your local Hollywood Video or Blockbuster, just don't expect to be buying it anytime soon.

Actually I bought this movie like three months ago from wal-mart.

Thanks! lol I was going to ask where people purchased theres from. But are you from Canada/ United States? ( I am not sure if there are Walmarts in the UK) because I am from Canada and have not seen this movie there, however I was not looking for it. lol.

Because it's a British film, it didn't get a US release

The UK release was in June 2003, but it didn't last long in the cinemas

If you want to buy it in the UK, get it from Amazon.co.uk or Play.com - they should have it in stock

Thanks for the tip -

I've ordered this charming funny film tonight.

I didn't expect to enjoy it at all - because of the bad publicity -

but Charlotte, Craig Ferguson and Joss Ackland (my hero) were all great.

It's a very pleasant wee movie for a winters evening, folks.

Wasn't Joss Ackland the creepy Dutch guy from Lethal Weapon 2?

This is a really great movie-great performances-acting, writing, directing, and the singing-just wonderful. I saw it in Blockbuster and I just had to own it.

Why it didn't get the treatment it deserved?

1) The very thick British/Scottish accents and the liberal use of British slang (i.e. Gillick, poof, etc.). Unless you're a Europhile or a brit, this is a turnoff.

2) My truism-fed garbage long enough, people will aquire a taste for it. If Craig had thrown in a couple of car chases, an explosion, and a serial killer stalking Olivia while torturing her kidnapped mother in a basdement-then Americans would be interested in the story.
